Lanserhof

Tegernsee, Lans, Sylt and London, Germany / Austria / UK · June 2026

A doctor-led medical reset, not a spa holiday. The LANS Med Concept treats the gut as the centre of the body, and the programme runs on diagnostics, fasting and discipline rather than indulgence.

The lounge under the timber roof, the Sylt dunes beyond the glass.
The island light, out to the dunes and the North Sea.
The training floor. Movement is part of the prescription.
Energy Cuisine: small portions, precisely built around the diagnostics.
The cure extends outdoors, the island covered on two wheels.
Where the day slows down, and people talk about how they slept.

Lanserhof began in the Tyrol and built its reputation on the LANS Med Concept, a medical programme centred on the gut. The premise is that most of what undermines energy, sleep and metabolism starts in the digestive system, so the cure begins by resting it: a tailored, low-stimulus diet, structured fasting, and the relearning of how to chew and eat slowly. There is no alcohol and no coffee on site. A team of doctors runs full diagnostics on arrival and builds the week around the results. This is medicine with a view, not a wellness package with a doctor attached.

There are four ways in. Lans, above Innsbruck, is the original clinic in the Tyrolean Alps. Tegernsee, in Bavaria, is the large modern flagship and the easiest to reach on short notice. Sylt, on the German North Sea, adds the sea air and a thalassotherapy element on an island. And Lanserhof at the Arts Club in London is the urban day-clinic, the right first step for a London-based guest not yet ready for a residential week. The concept is constant across all four; the setting is the variable.

A typical stay runs seven nights or more, because the diagnostics and the gut programme need time to do anything real. Days are built from medical consultations, treatments, movement and rest, with the Energy Cuisine portions deliberately small. People arrive expecting deprivation and leave talking about how they slept. It is demanding by design, and it works in proportion to how seriously the guest takes it.

Lanserhof is the name we reach for when a client wants medicine, not pampering. We hold the broker relationship across the properties, so we can place a guest at the right one for their week and their calendar, arrange the London day-clinic as an introduction, and handle the booking that the residential clinics otherwise gate carefully. Strong for anyone blending a reset with business travel in Munich, London or the Alps.

Want us to arrange it?

We hold the relationships, the rooms and the access. Tell us the dates and we handle the rest.

THE MAKER

Nymphenburg: Still Working to a 1760 Model

A Munich manufactory has been making the same sixteen figures since 1760. The eighteenth century ones are museum objects and the new ones are catalogue items, and the gap between those two sentences is the whole story.

The Mark XX and the DK36: When the Swiss Watch Is the One That Discounts

An IWC pilot's watch against a Bavarian house that makes its own steel and its own movements. The usual story is that the independent charges a premium. Here it does not, and the establishment name is the one trading under list.

HOSPITALITY

Schloss Elmau: A House Built for Music That Happens to Be a Hotel

A hundred and forty to a hundred and sixty concerts a year, in a Bavarian valley, in a house a philosopher built in 1916. The G7 summits are the fact everyone repeats and the least interesting thing about it.
