The place
Santé sits in the Cape Winelands near Franschhoek and Paarl, seventeen rooms and a private villa spread across grounds that run up toward the mountains. It is a retreat rather than a clinic: hydrotherapy, African-influenced treatments, movement and nutrition, set at a pace built for restoration instead of diagnostics. The setting does a great deal of the work, the vineyards on one side and the peaks on the other.
The stay
Programmes range from a few restful days to longer wellness and reset stays, and the retreat also hosts small entrepreneurial and leadership groups who want the same setting for a working week. It pairs naturally with a wider Cape trip: Santé for the reset, Babylonstoren a short drive away for the garden and the wine, and Cape Town and the coast on either side.
